State registry requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations are a priority throughout the nation. Focusing on population health bidirectional interfaces for meeting interoperability measures to include vaccinations for COVID-19 becomes challenging as states plan and collaborate to vaccinate thousands. Who better than Nursing Informatics to sit at the C-Suite and Committee planning meetings to develop a process, workflow, and electronic system(s) that will meet the need as well as the measures to vaccinate and address population health? Two employees from the University Medical Center of El Paso will present what was done at their hospital and clinics to participate as a BETA site state VAOS system team, become a HUB, and vaccinate, as well as enter data into IMMTRAC2.
