Jim Nolin joined Elsevier in September 2012 as Editor-In-Chief of InOrder, the Order Set solution within Clinical Solutions of Elsevier. He is responsible for leading medical content strategy and content production. Jim brings to Elsevier his experience as Director of Clinical Excellence Informatics for Ascension Health in St. Louis, the country's largest Catholic, non-profit health system. At Ascension Health, he led national order set development for the 80 hospital system. He guided the hospitals’ staff through the process of implementing and adopting order sets, and developed system and local clinical informatics governance. Jim is board certified in emergency medicine and clinical informatics and practiced 24 years in academic and community hospitals as an emergency medicine physician, including as co-founder of the department of emergency medicine at Cook County Hospital. He holds a BA in physics from Baylor

University, an MD degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Chicago. Jim is based in southwest Michigan.
