There are many reasons to be a presenter at a national conference, but nurses are often reluctant to do so for a variety of reasons. This session breaks down these barriers and inspires you to want to present. Topics to be covered include the importance of presenting at a conference, what an abstract is, ideas for creating a poster presentation, and how to prepare for a podium presentation, as well as information on crafting the presentation message and a review of principles of adult learning to enhance the effectiveness of presentations.
