Melissa D. Cole is the vice president of Integrated Delivery Operations at University Hospitals Health System (UHHS). Prior to her current role, she served as the VP of Emergency Medicine at UHHS from 2016-2020 supporting 20 emergency departments with over 500,000 patient visits and one quaternary academic medical center. In her role as VP of Integrated Delivery Operations, she is responsible to shape UHHS value-focused approach for implementing strategies that optimize quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Melissa is recognized as an influential and innovative leader in nursing with a focus on operational efficiency, employee engagement, developing relationships and improved quality outcomes. She is also clinical faculty at Case Western Reserve Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing and guest lecturer at Ursuline College where she teaches nursing leadership courses in the bachelor and master level degree programs.
