Barbara Allende MS, BSN

Barbara Allende is a Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist at Northwell Health located in New Hyde Park, New York, where her current focus is on the onboarding process for new nurse informatics specialists. She has been a registered nurse for 31 years. Barbara’s clinical specialty is in the cardiovascular-thoracic operating room as a staff nurse and educator. She transitioned to HIT in 2006 as a trainer before transitioning to a clinical analyst role, and finally to the nurse informaticist role.
