Ashley Pugh is the deputy chief medical officer of the New Mexico Health Care Authority. She has served the healthcare industry for over 17 years, advocating for vulnerable populations, increasing access to care, and strengthening healthcare networks. Ashley holds a bachelor of science degree in human development degree from Howard University, a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Emory University, and a master of science in health informatics degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She has trained clinical and non-clinical staff nationwide on emerging technologies, designed clinical quality measures and accreditation programs, and developed strategies for addressing digital health literacy among patients and clinicians.
