Joan Perl MS, RN-BC

Joan Perl is faculty at the University of South Florida College of Nursing and teaches graduate and undergraduate nursing courses. She is a health care informatics and digital health expert and was co-investigator for a HRSA Grant, 2010-2016, titled Faculty Development: Integrated Technology into Nursing Education and Practice Initiative (ITNEP). As co-investigator, she created, developed, and evaluated the informatics and telehealth modules, served as site coordinator and site visitor, and provided guidance relative to new technologies and innovations. Ms. Perl has personal and professional expertise in adult learning, performance improvement, online learning, informatics, mHealth, and telehealth. She has created and implemented digital health content and courses in the RN-BS, MS, and DNP curriculums and is currently creating an interdisciplinary digital health course. She also has an educator's certificate in healthcare informatics and is board certified in nursing informatics.
