Cardiac monitors, ventilators, and other equipment provide an enormous amount of numeric data that are manually transcribed onto patient flow sheets. Medical device integration is the automated process of transferring data from these devices into the electronic medical record (EMR). This session discusses this process and shows how successful implementation requires detailed planning and attention to nursing workflow.
