OD07 - Ensuring Competent Nurses Are Working in Technology and Data Rich Environments

This session describes the current forces that are driving change in informatics competency expectations for all nurses and informatics nurse specialists. The complex interrelationships between external forces and societal needs shape the expectations of healthcare professionals and competency, standards, accreditation, licensure, and certification are explored.
