I appreciated the emphasis placed on what one needs to know for the NI exam. I also related to Dr. Elkin's comments about getting re-energized with nursing and specifically, nursing informatics by getting involved with continuing education, attending seminars, and becoming involved with other associations via memberships, etc. Taking this course has re-energized me already. Thank you.

As a former certified professional development nurse, the format of reading slides is not EBP for adult learning or instructional design. Admittedly, some of this content is dry, but graphics and images (i.e. Boolean words), video, examples and knowledge checks should all be integrated into this course. Yes, it's a review course, but adding some concrete examples would help associate my current practice with the review item.
