Nurses spend thousands of hours searching for medical equipment and devices for patient care each year. In an effort to understand problems and barriers to current real-time tracking systems (RTLS), we have conducted interviews with nurses and other RTLS end-users to explore how technology can address this significant issue.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to discuss common gaps in the systems used to locate medical equipment and devices in hospitals.
