This hands-on workshop is intended for the person who has no experience with databases or SQL. By the end of the workshop, you will know how to use DESCRIBE, SELECT, and WHERE to perform simple queries; describe the difference between * and wildcard characters, and correctly use them in a SQL query; use pattern matching with LIKE, NOT LIKE, and =, and use Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT; perform basic mathematical functions with SQL, such as averages and counts; and use JOIN to combine data from two tables.
