Social Determinants of Health: The Informaticist’s Role in Promoting Health Equity
With the 2023 voluntary attestation for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to capture social determinants of health (SDOH) in the patient electronic health record, nurse informaticists can partner with nursing to advocate for health outcomes and health equity and influence the integration of SDOH into data collection and clinical workflows. This session helps you gain knowledge to recognize and understand the constructs of SDOH to aid in the integration of screening tools into clinical workflows.
