211 - Causal Analysis in Action: Enhancing Efficiency in Nursing Documentation

This session provides an overview of a hospital pilot program deploying causal analysis and generative artificial intelligence to identify, explain, and reduce drivers of nursing documentation burden. The presentation also provides recommendations and lessons learned, including the development of metrics and validation of data normalization techniques, and the analysis process used for intervention design and prioritization will serve to guide future work in extending the body of knowledge on causal analysis in support of reducing nursing documentation burden.
