From Clinical Informatics Nurse Specialist to Informatics Nurse Scientist

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST
Wednesday, February 28, 2024
Overview

Clinical informatics nurse specialists play a crucial role in patient safety, evidence-based practice, project management, data collection and analysis, etc. Thus, the transition from the role of a clinical informatics nurse specialist to an informatics nurse scientist is easier than one would think. With a faster-than-average rate than most other careers, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projected a 19% growth rate for nurse scientists between 2012 and 2022. Therefore, the timing to transition is ideal.

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to describe the role of the informatics nurse scientist and the steps to transition to this role.
