Myron Soyangco is an operational excellence manager at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, a 500+ acute care hospital in San Diego County that serves a service area of greater than 750 square miles, and has the county's busiest emergency department. Myron serves as the hospitals primary program manager and six sigma black belt for the hospital's performance improvement program, which includes over 40 change agents, and 3 lean six sigma black belts. Myron joins Sharp Healthcare with a background in clinical chemistry and materials science. His passion for performance improvement is rooted in the intersection of patient safety and business excellence, particularly in the advocacy of workforce empowerment to promote improved patient care. Myron is an alumnus of UCLA, earned his lean six sigma black belt certification through UCSD, and is currently an MBA candidate at UCLA.
