Melanie Turner MSN, RN, FACHE

Melanie Turner, MSN, RN is the Associate Vice President of Application Services for University of Alabama at Birmingham Medicine. Melanie’s professional interests include use of technologies to enhance clinical care and professional practice, system usability and informatics education and competencies.

Melanie has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Her clinical practice areas included pulmonary and critical care medicine, quality and nursing leadership. Melanie has worked with information technology in a variety of a roles including instructional and system design, system implementation, project management, and leadership. She has served on the HIMSS Nursing Informatics Committee and HIMSS Nursing Informatics Pre-Conference Workshop Planning Committee and is currently serving as a HIMSS conference proposal reviewer.
