Melanie Sorenson's healthcare journey began with a surprising directive: "You're going to nursing school!"—a testament to the U.S. Army's uncanny ability to recognize potential. Twenty years (and counting!) later, she traded combat boots for clinical scrubs and seamlessly transitioned from the urgency of emergency and maternal-child care into the strategic realm of informatics nursing. For the past decade, Melanie has thrived in shaping healthcare’s digital future, proving the Army’s foresight was spot on. After earning Board Certification in Informatics from ANCC, she is now completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice program
