Maryann Barnes received her BSN from Michigan State University and her master’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. She has held certifications in perioperative nursing and nursing administration. She is currently board certified in holistic nursing. Maryann has held leadership positions since 1980 and is currently the vice president and chief nursing officer for St John Providence Health System’s East Region, representing four hospitals. She has a passion for self-care and its impact on the care that patients receive. She has spent the last several years advancing holistic care as a foundation for practice at St John Hospital and Medical Center.
