Karen Beach has been a nurse for 16 years, 12 of which have been working with Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Southern California. She has led, supported, and optimized various clinical technology deployments including barcode medication administration, physiological data integration, computerized physician order entry, and electronic health record enhancements. Karen currently functions as the clinical informatics specialist for two medical centers and is completing her master’s degree in nursing informatics.
