Judi Allyn Godsey MSN, RN

Judi Godsey is an assistant professor of nursing and coordinator of the nursing informatics track at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Professor Godsey received her undergraduate nursing degrees from Northern Kentucky University, where she later completed her MSN and was recognized with the Outstanding MSN Student Award and the Clinical Excellence Award for Nursing Administration. Professor Godsey’s professional nursing experience includes critical care, clinical operations management, medical practice administration, and clinical research. Her experience also includes Assistant Professor and Distance Learning Coordinator at Northern Kentucky University, where she founded and directed the Northern Kentucky Nursing Research Collaborative and received NKU’s Outstanding Alumna Award. Professor Godsey also served as NKU’s Chapter President of Sigma Theta Tau International, leading the Honor Society to receive two prestigious International Nursing Research Advancement Awards.

Professor Godsey’s national audiences include the Council on Post-Secondary Education at the Library of Congress (where she was recognized for her contributions to the Public Good), the ANCC, NLN, and the AACN. Most recently, Professor Godsey received the Bronze Award from the Online Journal of Nursing Informatics for her work in the design and implementation of an interactive, web-based nursing informatics training course that specifically targets nurses and nursing students. The course, entitled “Informatics Training for RNs in a DELTA” (Digitally Enhanced Learning and Technological Arena) is the topic of Professor Godsey’s dissertation. She is currently pursuing her PhD in nursing at the University of Hawaii, where she plans to graduate this summer.
