John Lussier MSN, RN-BC, FHIMSS

John Lussier is the director of clinical informatics for Sharp HealthCare in San Diego. In addition to earning a master's degree in nursing informatics, John has also achieved board certification with the ANCC and is recognized as a fellow with HIMSS. Over his 25 years involved in informatics, John has worked in many areas of the industry, including working as an analyst, training physicians, nurses, and ancillary personnel in the use of EMR functions; co-presenting with Susan Newbold on nursing informatics concepts; serving as author and reviewer of informatics content; and volunteering for many informatics organizations. Most recently, John's role within Sharp includes overseeing the deployment of several EMR updates across the multi-hospital system. As a volunteer, John is the former membership director for the ANIA SoCal chapter, is the current treasurer of the ANIA San Diego Chapter, serves on the ANIA social media workgroup, and recently served as a reviewer and lead for the ANA Scope and Standards review.
