Dr. Boomie Harvey is the system vice president chief nursing informatics officer at CommonSpirit Health, overseeing clinical transformation, innovation, and standardization for the health system. This includes the clinical informatics change management department, the national clinical informatics team, physician enterprise informatics support team, and their newly developed virtual clinical informatics and training team. She is board certified in nursing informatics, is a certified change leader, and is an active member of ANIA and HIMSS. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston, a master’s degree in clinical nurse leadership from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and a doctor of nursing practice degree in nursing informatics from the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston.
