Angela Ross is an assistant professor at UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics in Houston, Texas, and UTH School of Public Health and School of Medicine, Rio Grande Valley in Brownville, Texas. As an assistant professor, she helps students identify the relevance of informatics in everyday practice and promotes individuals and the community by teaching how to translate research and apply evidence-based practice. She also provides health informatics consultation and volunteers at several medical facilities in the Texas Medical Center, including Health Care for The Homeless Houston. Previously she worked as a senior executive, nurse informaticist, chief of public health nursing, chief medical information officer (CMIO), and project manager for the Defense Health Agency (DHA). She is a certified project manager and certified in public health.
