Collaboration is inherent to nursing practice. It includes working with patients, families, the community, and other professional disciplines. The informatics nurse may also collaborate with informatics professionals in their organization or in other organizations to benefit the profession of nursing, the community, or the informatics community. Collegiality includes individual and group interactions, including the communication between team members and members of the health care and informatics community. Collegiality includes being able to discuss differing opinions in a professional, collaborative manner.
