This article describes the challenges faced when implementing a pediatric weight documentation solution across a health care system located throughout the United States and in Canada. Understanding and applying the Diffusion of Innovations Theory to this project was valuable in helping guide the end users toward change. This is the story of our journey as we moved through the design, implementation, training, and activation of our weight documentation project.
