COL Miko Watkins is currently serving in the United States Army as the Office of the Surgeon General, nursing informatics consultant and chief, nursing administration. She has been involved in multiple projects transforming the Defense Health Agency and assisting with the rollout of MHS Genesis. COL Watkins has been practicing informatics for over 20 years and is credentialed through the American Nursing Credentialing Center and HIMSS. Her past positions include chief, nursing informatics and chief medical information officer.
