Katherine Taylor Pearson is an assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's School of Nursing. With a rich educational background, she earned her DNP in Executive Nurse Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. Her academic journey also includes an MSN in Nursing Informatics from the University of Maryland Baltimore and an MA in Information Management and Computer Resources from Webster University. She also received her BSN from Seattle University in 1991. Throughout her career, Katherine has held significant roles in both the U.S. Army and civilian sectors. Notably, she served as the Chief Nurse at South Texas Veterans Health Care System and Chief Information Officer at Joint Base San Antonio for the U.S. Army. Her expertise in nursing informatics is evident in her roles as the Regional Director for the American Nursing Informatics Association and an IT/Educational Consultant at Three Suns Designs and Consulting.
In addition to her professional achievements, Katherine is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association, and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
