Thomas R. Clancy PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN

Thomas R. Clancy currently serves as a Clinical Professor and the Associate Dean for Faculty Practice, Partnerships and Professional Development at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing.  Dr. Clancy specializes in big data science, and systems design and analysis, and publishes, consults and presents on a frequent basis.  He currently serves as the University of Minnesota's program manager for the OptumLabs Data Warehouse, a national big data research collaborative.  Dr. Clancy has published over 50 articles and chapters on the impact of technology on nurses work and is past chair of the Expert Panel on Technology and Informatics in the American Academy of Nursing.  Prior to his appointment at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Clancy served over 25 years in leadership positions in health systems and healthcare technology companies.
