Brian Norris is an experienced health care clinician, Google Glass explorer, executive, and innovator. He has held various executive, clinical, consulting, and technology roles within several of today's largest health care and consulting institutions. Brian has developed innovative solutions including a social listening application, which won the NowTrending2012 challenge sponsored by the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) under Health and Human Services (HHS). His work has been cited in various media outlets, including HealthIT News, Government HealthIT, Modern Healthcare, Information Week, Business Week, and several others. Brian has developed a number of other health care-focused applications, including a redesign of BlueButton and the first application built on top of OpenFDA. Brian is a past ANIA board member and currently and currently serves on the Indiana HIMSS board of directors. Brian is the chief nursing informatics officer at Perscio, a Big Data company developing innovative health data and analytics solutions and services located in Indianapolis, IN. He holds a master's of business administration in healthcare management from Indiana Wesleyan University, a bachelor's degree in general studies from Indiana University, and an associate in science and nursing from Purdue University. He also holds board certification from the ANCC in informatics and is a HIMSS fellow.
