Dr. Marisa Wilson is a board-certified nurse informaticist and informatics faculty member who teaches as the clinical nurse leader (CNL), master’s, DNP, and PhD levels. She has over 25 years of experience leading implementations of various systems within public health and acute care setting. Her informatics leadership experience has been with developing and implementing surveillance applications, electronic health records, personal health records, operating room systems, nurse scheduling and documentation systems, pharmacy systems, dietary systems, and materials management systems. She has spearheaded evaluations of systems implementations focusing on actionable knowledge and the impact of technology on the point of care. She has published and lectured on informatics topics nationally and internationally for over a decade.
