Charlotte Seckman PhD, RN-BC

Dr. Charlotte Seckman has worked in informatics for over 25 years in a variety of roles to include senior clinical analyst, clinical systems manager, nurse consultant, clinical informatics specialist, project manager, and director of education, evaluation and research for clinical informatics. She has extensive experience in the analysis, design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of systems to include CPOE, clinical documentation, and clinical decision support. She also served as project officer for the implementation of the clinical research information system at National Institutes Health and co-developer with the National Library of Medicine for a personalized clinical decision support system. Currently, Dr. Seckman is a professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in the informatics program, teaching both graduate and undergraduate informatics courses.
