Mark Bassett is a lead software designer for MEDITECH Home Care in Atlanta, Georgia. Mark has spent his 38-year nursing career working on process improvement in healthcare. His clinical background includes surgical ICU, pre-hospital advanced life support, military flight nursing, and home infusion therapy. His work with healthcare information systems companies includes the creation of training, consultation, and benchmarking services and the conceptual design for a next-generation process-driven software product. He has spent the past twelve years using derived metadata to provide process performance benchmarking services to home health and hospice organizations and the past seven years looking inside and outside the healthcare sector to understand the unique attributes shared by high-performing organizations.
