Kenneth A. Kleinberg FHIMSS, Managing Director, Research and Insights , The Advisory Board Company , Washington, DC

With more than 34 years of experience in IT, Kenneth A. Kleinberg, FHIMSS, leads the research team for the Applications and Technologies Collaborative. He specializes in helping health care stakeholders with IT strategy as it relates to accountable care organizations, the medical home, and meaningful use of electronic health records and related applications and technologies with a special focus on health information exchange, mobile computing, and business process management.

Prior positions for Kenneth include vice president of business development at Health Language (now Wolters Kluwer), vice president and hospital strategist at Allscripts, senior director of global health care for Symbol Technologies (now Motorola), and health care vice president and editor-in-chief for Gartner.

As a HIMSS Fellow, he has served on multiple HIMSS Committees, most recently the Enterprise Information Systems Committee. He has appeared on CNBC and ABC is a frequent speaker at health care events and has been quoted in numerous health care publications including USA Today and the NY Times.

Kenneth holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from The State University of New York at Albany and a master’s degree in neuropsychology from Queens College in New York.
