Karen Parker has been in nursing since 1984. She has worked as a staff nurse, an office nurse, and a manager. In 2003 Karen created the first informatics position at her organization and later became the manager of the Clinical Informatics Department. Karen enjoys thinking outside the box by looking for and developing documentation solutions through the use of technology. Currently working on her DNP through Walden University, Karen embraces life-long learning and hopes to set an example for other nurses.
