Mary Ann Contreras RN

Mary Ann Contreras has been a nurse for over 30 years in the fields of trauma, emergency, and critical care. She currently is the Violence and Injury Prevention Manager at John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas, where she studies trauma, behavior, environment, and policy to develop, implement, and evaluate prevention initiatives. She is active in the regional and state trauma advisory councils as well as a member of the Texas Injury Prevention Leadership Collaborative, the Tarrant County Adult Fatality Review team, and Tarrant County Domestic Violence High Risk team.
