Carla M. Teasdale MSN, RN-BC, CPHIMS is an Informaticist at UK Healthcare. She has been a nurse for over 16 years and has worked in the areas such as Critical Care and Obstetrics. Since 2006 she has worked with Information Systems and led such projects as Fetal Monitoring replacement, Patient Education Implementation, ED Clinical Documentation and relocation, Enterprise Status Board Implementation, Physician Documentation and EMR Optimization and Usability. In addition to the noted projects she has also coordinated with Colleagues to develop innovative solutions such as the Emergency Department Expect Board, Physician Handover Tool, Nursing SBAR, Electronic White Boards, Nurse Sensitive Indicator Program and Patient Discharge Process Improvement. Carla continues to work to adapt systems to increase usability for all clinicians and continues to work with teams to develop innovative solutions to improve both patient care and clinician experience.
