This presentation assists the practicum student with ways to attract organizations for practicum placement, including what to say, how to negotiate for a preceptor, and how to sell yourself while looking for a position.

Great feedback for those looking for preceptors. Reading a syllabus shouldn't be on the shoulders of the preceptor. You might not start off with a clear idea for a project, but you need to know the concrete bits, like how many hours do you have to complete, what qualifications are required to be a preceptor (MSN, BSN, specific job role, must be an RN or ok to be non-clinical?).
