In the June 2019 ANIA webinar, Expanding Nursing Faculty's Informatics Competencies, Dr. Elkind and Dr. Mayhew discussed the need for professional development for nursing faculty throughout the curricula. It is essential that it be incorporated across all levels (undergraduate and graduate) to meet the challenge of preparing nurses to function safely and effectively in our contemporary, high tech healthcare environment. Then along came COVID-19, which has necessitated nursing faculty to use innovative technologies and new strategies in course design. Faculty must seek out emerging resources, available technologies, and engage in professional development. During this webinar we will explore how to keep the momentum going to meet the evolving nursing educational challenges presented by COVID-19.
